| BW/BW-W Series TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION | |
| | |
| | |
| CONSTRUCTIVE BW/BW-W CHARACTERISTICS | |
| | |
| Position and rotation | |
| The constructive characteristics of the reducers series BH allow several fixing options (with feet and with flange) and can rotate in both directions. | |
| | |
| Casing | |
| From size BW30 to size BW80, the case is made of aluminium UNI5076, highly resistant and water tight. From size BW90 to size BW150 the case is made of cast iron G25, highly resistant and water tight. On request also size BP5, BP7 and BP8 interchangeble with center distance 50, 63 and 80 can be made of cast iron G25. The casing is suitably finned to favour heat exchange with the external atmosphere and maintain the lubricant and moving parts operating temperature within the admissible values, resulting in improved efficiency. | |
| | |
| Worm shaft – wheel | |
| The worm is made of steel 18NiCrMo4 cemented, tempered and ground. The precision mechanical works allow to reach optimal efficiency and noise levels. The wheel is composed of a special bronze alloy on a cast iron hub. | |
| | |
| Oil seals | |
| Special sealing components keep water and dust from getting into the wormbox’s inner parts and they guarantee optimal results also in the roughest working field. | |
